Academy

ACADEMY:  is designed for players who excel at the recreational level and require a more challenging, developmentally appropriate environment in order to maximize their potential. Through an individual development model, the Pre-Academy caters to developing and sharpening a player’s technique, confidence and creativity on the ball, while fostering decision-making both on and off the ball. Any U6-U12 player (based on the below US Soccer age groups), boy or girl, is eligible for the CSSA Pre- Academy program. All  players are expected to demonstrate focus, and a willingness to learn and compete, and have fun.

Individual player development is achieved through a competitive learning environment and program curriculum that is modeled on core technical skills required to advance to the competitive/select level of soccer.

• Three or two days training sessions a week ( total 3 hrs) ; Games  or Futsal on weekend. Game schedule will be posted when season begins .
• Team formation through early player evaluations to ensure an appropriate level of play and development environment.
• No league standings, but competitive games against teams of similar ability with flexible team schedules.
• Players are constantly evaluated throughout the season and may be provided additional training and game opportunities when needed.
• Minimum 50% play time for all players.
• No punting to increase player’s ability to receive the ball under pressure.
• No heading at training or games for player safety and minimizing concussion risk.
• Season: August to May
